🧑‍🎓 What It Means for Students

  • You need to be confident writing in French for different purposes: informal (e.g. postcard, message, email to friend) and formal (e.g. letter, article, formal email).

  • You must be able to translate from English into French accurately — showing good command of vocabulary and grammar.

  • You should practice varying lengths: short structured writing (≈ 80–90 words) and longer open responses (≈ 130–150 words), ensuring you cover required bullet‑points (content, opinions, justifications, etc.).

  • Pay attention to formal vs informal register depending on the task.

  • Work on accuracy: grammar, spelling, appropriate vocabulary, and clarity.
